De nederlandse non Salaye Daya uit Spanje vraagt dana voor twee Sri Lankese monniken die in Oekraïne waren om hun visum te verlengen. Zie hieronder het bericht (in het engels):
Recently news about two monks, bhante Ratanasīla & bhante Thitidhammo, who reside in a small monastery in Kyiv came to me. One of these monks was only in Ukraine to renew his passport (normally he resides in Sri Lanka) when the war broke out. Currently, their lives are directly threatened by explosions and shelling, although they invariably continue to meditate.
In a normal situation they go on almsround, but because of the war it has become difficult to receive food in this way. There are still generous Ukrainians who support them, although all the challenges make it more difficult.
This is an exceptional opportunity to support others in a difficult situation and to gain happiness and merit. Giving a gift, donation or present brings a happy spirit, this also translates into future beneficial results. Generosity is never lost!
In short, all support is welcome for these two Ukrainian monks.
